You can't keep everything
It's amazing how we get attached to these machines. Our experiences turn them from inanimate objects to mechanical objects that store our memories, breakdowns and adventures. I sold my 1982 Ironhead Sportster today, but I'm glad it went to a good home. You really can't keep everything.

Don't buy new bikes, keep the old ones running
I picked up a 75' KZ400 that didnt start during covid knowing nothing about motorcycle repair. I repaired it and have been riding It for the last year. I dont think whatever ill get by selling it will amount to the sentimental value it holds. Nice Marias shirt!
I cant let them go. That is why I have 17 bikes now!
she needs premium dude! premiuuuuuuum ! the colorgrading is super nice here
I know the feeling. I’m sure once I get my first bike I’ll never be able to part with it with ease. It’s gonna have to go to the grave with me.
Love this channel, keep them episodes comin! Cheers from Finland.
sold one of my bike ,didn't feel much at THAT moment ,but after sometime now i regret/feel bad for selling it,like he said we got to move on to the next thing ,obviously there are many other bikes i WILL fall in love with more!
Cool bike!
Dig this channel. I recently purchased a 1987 Kawasaki KZ 1000 Police bike. Every time I walk out into the garage, I just love seeing vintage feel of it. Brings me back to my youth watching CHIPS on tv. Keep at the stories. Love watching.
Love the color grading ❤
Amen. Bikes are more than just bikes. If you’re a biker, this is known.
Dude I just backed out of a deal I had lined up getting rid of my bike. I sat on it the night before the sale of it was going to happen. I’m the original owner, I’ve had so many memories with that bike…from the friends I’ve made to the trips to the maintenance, the mods, and everything in between. I teared up as the memories from day 1 came flooding back. I called the guy up and explained I had a change of heart. He totally understood! I think for us that have that two wheel DNA all understand where you’re coming from man. Kudos to you, your upcoming project and the love of motorcycles. I wish you all the best!!
I think you have tapped into something that is missing in the motorcycle scene. there's a lot of content but quite a bit of it is algorithm chasing stuff which isn't what we are looking for . so far I have watched all your uploads. rarely does that happenwheni subscribe . could be generational based in the respect that your aesthetic harkens back to simpler times even your font choice for example. no glitz no glamour just trueness. as long as you keep making this content I will keep watching, commenting and liking.
Great vid and Thanks for the upload. Oh man I miss my Triumph bonneville T100.
Great stuff. Not a Harley guy, but every bike captures a piece and time of you. As your cells change everyday and you age, you sometimes wonder if you are the same person in that old picture staring back at you. For us enthusiasts, its the bike that bridges that gap... Happy you gave it to a good home. Maybe the new rider will collect some of those photos.
More Nate!!! Great episode.
Very cool!
I know the feeling. I miss every bike/car I've ever sold.
Mijo, I absolutely loved it! I hope to someday meet all the incredible people you’ve interviewed so far and always look forward to the next one and the next one. Never stop!
I can totally feel for you. Part of the reason I don’t sell to many of mine but you can’t keep them all
GTO CAM-E-O!!! I love all the stories Brotha-Man! 1982's a good year. We want some little T's for all you mini moto fans!
Amazing work putting these videos together.
The hardest part, but we must keep evolving!!
I really liked your channel since your first video. About this one: great cinematography, it seems different than your first set ups. Well framed and graded. Also, I think it's a great idea to go into smaller and maybe more personal topics and make some mini video-essays. Keep up the good work and greetings from Germany.
Great job. Respect from the UK.
I hear you brother.
I love watching every episode. Its not just about the bikes. Its about the people and the culture. Great stores that are perfectly told and beautifully shot.
I know the feeling, it’s hard to let go of something you’ve put your soul into building. I look at it like I just was doing my part to keep a cool machine on the road; if I maintain it and make it better than when I found it then pass it on to the next person, they might have more incentive to keep it that way especially if they’re new to this sort of thing. Some things I will never let go of though. At the end of the day, all bikes go to the swap meet whether you live to see it or not
I'm enjoying your videos brother - Spot on - we can't keep everything. I don't think it's the saying goodbye to the possession which is the difficult part - it's as if we sometimes hold onto something because we aren't sure of what the future holds. Some people might say "It is just a bike" but it's not about the possession itself. Its the memories, the ideas, the emotions. We often fear losing them more : )
Old motorcycles are just the best
Keep them coming bro
Thanks Danny
This channel has become one of my favorites. This is authentic and real. Cool unique stories and I love being in the shop….
Thanks for this comment, it means a lot my friend
Same.
I have it and love it.

Bar Hopper
What a bunch of utter bullshit... WTF??? please hand in your reality license! and stop smoking that shit
that's beautiful man
These are awesome. your ability to let people tell their stories is incredible! keep it up
That's a great picture and scene.
how can this get more views?
Just hanging in the garage 😎
Cool humble guy
Crucial question: how did you capture the sound???
Hey, great question. I used a tentacle sync track e recorder/lav combo (affiliate link in the description). Oh! And I wrapped it in a deadcat to soften the wind.
@@TheMotorcycleArchives Your deadcat wrapping was certainly very effective!
@@ReelRidersPodcast thanks Simon, means a lot coming from an audio pro like you. I need a new exhaust, the internal engine noise overpowers everything haha 😂
Has a swastika on it
In Navajo culture, the Whirling Log (also known as swastika) represents wellbeing, good luck, and protection.
@@TheMotorcycleArchivesyeah but it has a swastika on it…. Haha people misunderstanding culture. Clearly this is a humble man not a nazi.
@@OldeThunderCChaha you had me for a second
Nicely Done!!! Keep up the good work
4:11 not to mention that the "cross" killed way more people than "swastika" did.
Oh maaan.. love that cozy place and to be inside working on them bikes must be fun. The vibes are there for sure!✌😎
